TOGETHER WITH FEATURED PARTNER

Good Morning and Happy Halloween {{First Name|Las Cruces}} — may your day be full of treats, tricks, and local magic!

Grab your costume and a pumpkin latte, or not, either way Las Cruces is brewing up some frightfully fun local events!

While ghosts and goblins roam for Halloween, Las Cruces and Mesilla come together to celebrate life with colorful Día de los Muertos festivities.

Celebrate Día de los Muertos

It’s that special time of year when Las Cruces comes alive to celebrate life with Day of the Dead festivities. Both Mesilla and Las Cruces will host celebrations this Saturday, with additional festivities continuing in Mesilla on Sunday.

Daylight Savings Time - Fall Back

Turn back time and treat yourself to an extra hour of snuggles, sleep, or sunshine this Sunday! Turn your clocks back one hour at 2:00 a.m. on Sunday, but do this Saturday night before you go to bed 🙂

Gardeners Did You Know?

You can grow your own food and flowers for free with the Tierra Sagrada Seed Library at Las Cruces Public Libraries. Just bring your library card and check out up to ten packs of regionally-adapted seeds each season, while supplies last. By saving and sharing seeds, you’re helping build a resilient local harvest and community. Visit 200 E Picacho Ave or call (575) 541-2000 to get started.

City of Las Cruces Lush and Lean Programs

A recent recorded session

Ready to make your yard the envy of the neighborhood without sending your water bill into orbit?

Meet the Lush and Lean program—Las Cruces’ fun way to grow gorgeous, desert-happy landscapes that sip water instead of guzzle it.

Every Spring and Fall, the Water Conservation Program rolls out a lineup of free workshops on landscaping, irrigation, and sustainable gardening—all designed to help your plants and wallet thrive.

No green thumb? No problem. You’ll learn easy, practical tricks, meet local garden gurus, and join the city’s water-wise movement.

Can’t make it in person? The workshops stream online—perfect for watching while you “accidentally” overwater that cactus again.
